LEED Overview
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System® is a voluntary, consensus-cased national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. It was created by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) to define "green buildings" and promotes integrated, whole-building design practices.

Carpet Contribution to LEED
A sustainable carpet system is one component among a list of building materials that can contribute toward the design and certification of a LEED building. No product can be LEED certified; however, meeting the minimum credit requirements often requires the LEED team to specify a multitude of environmentally responsible products.

Specification of Shaw Contract Group products may be additive to the pursuit of a LEED point in the following categories:
