Through the process, each individual material in the product is tested down to 100 parts per million (ppm) to ensure it is safe for human health and the environment. Criteria considered in this assessment include - but is not limited to - carcinogenicity, toxicity, mutagenicity, endocrine disruption, bioaccumulation and climatic relevance.
This assessment ensures Eco Solution Q and EcoWorx meet the high standards of sustainability, and these products are among the first in the world to be fully assessed through the MBDC Design Protocol. That's the Shaw Green Edge |
McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC): MBDC is a product and process design firm dedicated to transforming the design of products, processes, and services worldwide. Eco Solution Q® and EcoWorx® have been assessed through the MBDC Cradle to Cradle design protocol for health and human safety to ensure they are safe for the environment and can be recycled in closed loop systems. We are currently working with MBDC to certify the recycled content of these materials.
