What is Design?
To us design is a fusion process of functional requirements, aesthetic goals, budget and timeline.

How is Design best illustrated through the project?
We had a specific function requirements for office efficiency in processing of patients, staff productivity as reflected in work station layouts and at a same time a need for visual content that appeals to teenagers and young adults.

This is evident in floor planning adjacencies and functions of different areas as well as choices of color, materials and lighting systems.

Biggest Design Challenge?
Engineering and fabricating of some design elements like sliding glass doors on curved walls, back lit floating photographs, meeting lighting code requirements and presenting a graphically dynamic environment. Lighting requirements were met by using white LEDs and high efficiency fluorescent lamps. Shaw carpet provided a needed visual dynamics and other details were solved by careful examination of computer generated study models and selection of qualified fabricators and contractors.

What made it Innovative or Unique?
Use of white LED lighting, curved glass sliding doors, display of patient photos in form of floating back lit panels below ceiling.

How did Design make a difference?
Client satisfaction and patient response are overwhelming.
