What is Design?
An integrated process used to achieve an aesthetic environment that conveys the client’s desired image while meeting all of the latter’s functional requirements.
How is Design best illustrated through the project?
The environment is highly energetic, creative and fun, with significant visual impact having been achieved through creative use of simple and inexpensive materials. Extensive use of glass throughout the project in order to maximize the use of daylight.
Biggest Design Challenge?
Conveying uniformity throughout a project which required a design suited for two very different entities (client services and financial consultants) with very distinct needs (fun and energetic vs more sophisticated). The design provided a very unique image to the Accenture’s Montréal offices, reflecting its innovative, high-energy, efficient and knowledge-sharing environment. The time frame was also a major challenge.
What made it Innovative or Unique?
A variety of carpet tiles set in random patterns providing a blend of several different models across the office.
How did Design make a difference?
We have received very positive feedback from both Accenture’s Head Office as well as the occupants.
